The Learning Center is part of Covina Valley Community Support, an all-volunteer, non-profit organization that runs philanthropic programs serving the communities of Azusa, Covina, Glendora, and West Covina. The Learning Center Director is Patsy Gorrell, and the Administrative Assistant is Elsy Pochron. In 1970, earlier programs were replaced with the Learning Center tutoring program, and a Thrift Shop was opened in a small house on Badillo Street, just west of Azusa Avenue.
