Room 2 Dance opened in early 2011 after first being discussed in 2001. The studio offers bimonthly social dances at the studio or on the town, and Friday night socials are cocktail attire without cocktails. Spanish is spoken at the studio.

Owner and instructor Lucille Bell has over 30 years of dance teaching experience and a background in Ballet, Jazz, Modern, Hip Hop, Ballroom, and Latin dances. Her professional experience includes work as a dance instructor and choreographer, with performance credits in television, film, and live events such as the Super Bowl. She graduated Cum Laude with a BA in Dance from Fullerton University and has placed in several competitions. The leadership team includes Lucille and Charley Bell as owners, along with instructors Kimberly Skorheim, Linea, and Elizabeth.

Room 2 Dance states that many students come together from all walks of life with the goal to move, dance, and have a great time, and that the studio aims to create a friendly, inviting environment where everyone feels welcomed and comfortable moving to the music. The studio participated in the Covina Wine Walk, described as a local fundraiser for charity.

For clothing and shoes, the studio recommends thin-sole shoes for everyone. Suggested footwear for gentlemen is a dress shoe with a leather or suede bottom, and for ladies a heel between flat and 3 inches with a thin sole; flip flops, sandals, mules, platforms, and tennis shoes are described as harder to dance in or not recommended. As dancers progress, the studio recommends upgrading to a dance shoe, and notes that participants can come from work or the gym.
