Culver City Little League offers a youth baseball summer camp that focuses on throwing, catching, fielding, hitting, bunting, base running, and instructional scrimmages. The camp uses a low coach-to-player ratio, and camp coaches are current and former CCHS Varsity Baseball players.
• Ages: 4–16 years old
• Schedule: Camp hours include drop off at 8:45 am, instruction from 9:00 am to 1:45 pm, and pick up by 2:00 pm, with four sessions offered between June 15 and July 9.
• Price: 1st and 4th sessions cost $130.00 per session; 2nd and 3rd sessions cost $160.00 per session, with payment arrangements for multiple sessions, a discounted $540.00 price if all four sessions are paid in full by June 15, and a $25.00 non-refundable fee for late cancellations.
The 2021 Culver City Youth Baseball Summer Camp is managed by Coach Rick Prieto, the CCHS Head Varsity Baseball Coach, who has managed this neighborhood baseball camp for over 28 years and has playing experience in high school, college, and professional baseball in Mexico. Culver City Little League is a non-profit charitable organization chartered under Little League International, Inc., and is part of Little League District 25 of Southern California. Since 1957, Culver City Little League has provided a safe, instructional, and fun sports environment for children in Culver City, California, and more than 500 boys and girls ages 4–16 can play every season in six different divisions of baseball and softball programs.
Culver City Little League is the only Little League sanctioned program for boys and girls in Culver City and neighboring communities, and the organization operates as an all-volunteer program supported by families, local businesses, and community sponsors. Its stated mission is to provide a safe, instructional, and fun environment for children ages 4–16 and to promote, develop, supervise, and assist the interests of those who participate in Little League Baseball and Softball, with goals that include helping youngsters develop citizenship, discipline, teamwork, physical well-being, understanding of strengths and weaknesses, sportsmanship, cooperation, competition, and leadership. Campers are expected to bring lunch, a water bottle, fielding and batting gloves, baseball pants or shorts, a hat, sun block, and turf shoes, tennis shoes, or rubber cleats, with metal cleats not allowed.
