About
Iverbe Day and Sports Camp offers activities such as baseball, basketball, flag football, soccer, tennis, handball tournaments, kickball, martial arts, yoga, chess, Star Wars light saber training, and dance parties. Campers also take part in arts and crafts like jewelry making and block building, play with Legos, join camp games including hide and go seek, circle games, and other camp games, and participate in Tournament Days, Water Days with water play, Special Event Days, field trips, and cooking. Daily camp life includes morning assemblies with songs, skits, camp challenges, and dancing, as well as a Friday big dance party, highlight ceremonies for older campers, and morning and afternoon challenges such as football tosses, relay races, a watermelon eating contest, and a half court shot challenge.

• Schedule: Spring Camp runs March 23–27 from 9:30am–3:30pm, and Summer Camp runs in four sessions (June 15–26, June 29–July 10 with no camp June 19, July 13–24, and July 27–August 7) from 9:30am–3:30pm, with extended care available 8:00–9:30am and 3:30–5:30pm for $10 per hour.

Iverbe Day and Sports Camp opened in 2004 as a summer camp. The program includes camps, after school programs, classes, and events, and uses a lunch program with a camp café where campers order items such as cheeseburgers, hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken nuggets, deli sandwiches, chef salads, grilled cheese, quesadillas, turkey tacos, seasonal fruit, vegetables, and bottled water, with lunch included for both Spring and Summer Camp and the ability to make special lunch requests depending on dietary restrictions and allergies. Water stations are set up throughout camp for campers to fill water bottles, and campers in 4th–8th grade are referred to as “Big Dogs,” with field trips offered for 4th–8th graders and Special Event Days for DK–3rd graders, along with a Counselor in Training Volunteer Program for 9th and 10th graders.
Marc Weiss has worked with kids in the westside sports scene for over 30 years, including roles as a counselor and later Director of Youth Sports at Cheviot Hills Recreation Center, a professional baseball career after being drafted by the Cincinnati Reds in 1994 while at California Lutheran University, two years coaching basketball at St. Monica’s High School, and 27 years as Director of Athletics and head of the Physical Education Department at The Willows Community School. Brent Weiss has worked with kids for 23 years, including volunteering as a coach and camp counselor at Cheviot Hills Recreation Center, serving as Head Counselor at Canyon Creek Sports Camp from 2001 through 2003, and working as a Maker teacher at The Willows for 21 years. Directors at The Willows location include Paul Casillas, Madison Weiss, and Brevin Archer, with Marc Weiss and Brent Weiss also serving in leadership roles connected to the program.
Iverbe states that it is dedicated to creating fun, positive, and meaningful experiences for children through play and experiential learning, with programs that offer a variety of sports, camp games, and arts and crafts activities for kids to choose their own adventure.
