• Ages: 2–6 years old
Established in 1986, Montessori Academy has been in operation for nearly 40 years. The program uses a child-focused approach known as The Montessori Method and offers individualized education, with teachers observing and keeping detailed records to tailor lesson plans to each child’s needs. It offers full-time and part-time options, a low child to teacher ratio, snacks, and potty training. The facilities include beautiful, spacious indoor spaces, fun and secure outdoor playgrounds, and in-house field trips and special events. The mission of Montessori Academy is to provide a nurturing environment that helps the child develop emotionally, socially, and physically as a whole. The staff includes experienced credentialed teachers and maintains a lower student-teacher ratio.
One testimonial notes that by the end of a three-year study, children who had attended Montessori preschools were more academically advanced, had better social skills, and reported enjoying school more than children who attended a traditional school. Another testimonial states that each child is valued as a unique individual, that Montessori education recognizes different learning styles, and that students are free to learn at their own pace with guidance from the teacher and an individualized learning plan.
