Rainbow Art Studio offers hands-on workshops where students are introduced to fundamental art concepts such as form, color, composition, and perspective. Students work with a variety of media, including charcoal, watercolor, collage, and printmaking.

• Schedule: Class options on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30PM–6:30PM, and on Fridays from 9:30AM–3:30PM
Rainbow Art Studio has provided art education and hands-on workshops to thousands of students in the Bay Area since 1993. Founder and Head Instructor Kyung Ahn opened Rainbow Art Studio in 1993 and has over 35 years of experience teaching art. Kyung Ahn received a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Fine Arts from Sookmyung Women's University in Seoul, Korea, and a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Arts from the San Francisco Art Institute. Teacher’s Assistant Tiffany Kang attended the ArtCenter College of Design in Pasadena as a Graphic Design major and graduated in 2021, and Teacher’s Assistant Abigail Ho pursued a degree in Product Design at Otis College of Art and Design.
The program customizes its art instruction to meet each student’s needs and goals, with individualized instruction that encourages students of all ages to develop their artistic skills, creativity, and confidence. Teachers and assistants are on hand as students support and inspire each other, and students become part of a vibrant and supportive community. Rainbow Art Studio offers both a Foundation Program and a College Portfolio Program.
Rainbow Art Studio highlights include contest winners in 2025, such as Yeji M. (12th) with a Scholastic Gold Key, Mei K. (12th) with a Scholastic Gold Key, and Sofia L. (12th) with a Scholastic Gold Key, along with several Scholastic Honorable Mentions for high school students. Testimonials from families and students describe great teachers, professional tools and methods, and experiences that have inspired students to continue art and design in college and beyond.
