California School of Martial Arts (CALSMA Taekwondo & Boxing) offers Taekwondo and Boxing classes, along with Life Coaching classes that are included within the Taekwondo curriculum and in every membership. The program also hosts activities such as Movie Nights, Bring a Friend Day, Family Training Day, Game Night, a Halloween Party, and a Christmas Party. Classes take place in a high-energy, supportive, family-centered dojang environment, with a curriculum that prioritizes students’ progress in honing essential foundational skills and uses a colored glove system in boxing (WHITE, GREEN, BLUE, RED, BLACK, SILVER, GOLD) to track progression.

California School of Martial Arts (CALSMA Taekwondo & Boxing) offers separate class times for different age groups: adults 18 years and above have classes Monday through Friday from 10:00–11:00am and Saturdays from 8:00–9:00am; youth ages 10–17 have classes on Fridays from 4:00–5:00pm and Saturdays from 9:00–10:00am; kids ages 6–9 have classes on Fridays from 4:00–5:00pm and Saturdays from 10:00–11:00am. The program welcomes a diverse range of boxers of all ages and levels and has a training environment rooted in family values, support, and determination. Its stated mission is to prioritize the holistic development of students both physically and mentally, emphasizing character building within a safe and positive learning environment, and to guide students to excel in martial arts in the dojang and emerge as exemplary citizens who positively contribute to their communities, with the goal for students to become “Champions in the Game” and “Champions in Life.”
The school is led by Master Osmundo “Jun” Quitain, co-owner and leader of the school, and co-owner Charmaine Quitain, who brings academic and leadership expertise to the school’s operations. Master Jun is a 5th Dan Kukkiwon-certified Black Belt with a distinguished competitive record and has been a pivotal figure at More Than Medals Taekwondo (MTM) in Daly City since 2005. Charmaine volunteered at More Than Medals Taekwondo from 2008 to 2022, and California School of Martial Arts LLC (CALSMA Taekwondo) was founded after More Than Medals Taekwondo temporarily suspended its Taekwondo program. In Boxing, Coach Irwin and his team are USA Boxing Certified Coaches.
Master Jun has earned numerous accolades, including Gold Medalist at the 2024 USA Taekwondo National Championship in Sparring, a spot on the 2024 USA Taekwondo National Team, and the title of 2023 California State Champion. CALSMA is home to state and national champions, with students winning titles at the 2023, 2024, and 2025 California State Championships, medaling at the 2024 and 2025 USA Taekwondo National Championships, and earning several championship titles at the 2025 USA Season Finals. The school’s Demonstration Team has been crowned AAU State Champion and has won the USA Dream Open Championship three times. California School of Martial Arts serves families from Daly City, Colma, South San Francisco, San Bruno, Pacifica, and San Francisco.
