Danville Little League is a fully chartered Little League open to all boys and girls between the ages of 4–16 who live within the boundaries for DLL as determined and approved by Little League Baseball. It plays within District 57 of the Western Region of Little League and operates exclusively as a non-profit educational organization. Established in 1972, it is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors elected at annual General Election Board Meetings.

The league states that its mission is to provide quality baseball experiences to Danville youth in a safe environment that balances integrity, respect, competition, fun, and fair play. It is committed to providing a quality instructional program that teaches fundamental skills, tactics, and strategies for the game of baseball, preparing youth athletes for participation at the next level of play, and increasing skill knowledge with safe, healthy techniques in safe, non-threatening environments. The league supports the ideal that winning games is secondary to the molding of exceptional citizens and promotes and develops core values such as respect, teamwork, sportsmanship, courage, effort, and commitment. It establishes standards of participation for all volunteers, board members, coaches, officials, athletes, and spectators, encourages a positive atmosphere by showing support and patience for all athletes and volunteers, and creates a culture in which volunteers, coaches, parents, officials, and athletes work together to achieve the mission.

Danville Little League captured the 11U Northern California State Championship in 2023 and the Intermediate Little League World Series Championship in 2022. The leadership team includes Jim Rossi (President), Chris Brown (VP, Conduct & Coaching), Nate King (VP, Baseball Operations – Equipment), Justin Swigert (VP, Baseball Operations – Technology), Mark Kennedy (VP, League Compliance), Erik Peterson (VP, Field Operations), Greg Shelley (VP, Partnerships/Secretary), Nolan Arieta (Safety Director), Brent Johnson (Player Agent), Stu Bessieres (Treasurer), and Chris Warren (Umpire-in-Chief).
