About

Tuff Tumblers is a mobile, non-competitive enrichment program where children take part in gymnastics, sports, soccer, and other physical activities. In the gymnastics and sports classes, students practice tumbling skills such as forward rolls and handstands on high quality tumble mats and are introduced to sports skills including football and golf. In the soccer program, children use nets and play creative games that focus on balance, coordination, dribbling, passing, shooting, and defense while using a variety of colorful and innovative equipment.

• Ages: 2–12 years old

Tuff Tumblers was established in 1989 and has been in business for over 30 years. The program serves each facility as a mobile program and provides fun and challenging physical activities at schools throughout the Bay Area. Its stated purpose is to introduce exciting gross motor development classes to children in a setting that is described as safe, age appropriate, and fun. The team is described as creative and hardworking instructors who love to be active, and Tuff Tumblers coaches and instructors receive specific one-on-one training in how to make the Tuff Tumblers' Spirit come alive in a safe and positive environment.

Parents have shared that instructors are patient in teaching tumbling skills and that children look forward to Tuff Tumblers days. One parent noted that both gymnastics and soccer classes have been enjoyed across two generations in their family. Other parents have described children being excited to find the program at a new school, enjoying the soccer class enough to want their own net like the ones used in the program, and becoming more outgoing after participating in a Tuff Tumblers birthday party and then joining the classes.
