Pamela Trokanski Dance Workshop

Pamela Trokanski Dance Workshop offers classes in contemporary, dance improvisation, jazz, jazz and dance for musical theatre, ballet, pointe, belly dance, K-pop, and Absolute Beginning Dance. The program also offers Intro to Dance (Age 4+), pre-ballet, pre-contemporary, Dance for Parkinson’s, Second Wind, Second Wind Chair Dance, Pilates, Zentangle, Vocal Playground, and Vocal Somatics. Absolute Beginning Dance covers the basics of ballet, jazz, and contemporary over the course of 8 weeks.

• Ages: 3–18 years old
• Schedule: Office hours Monday–Friday 8:30 am–12:00 pm and 3:00 pm–8:00 pm, and Saturdays 8:30 am–1:30 pm; Absolute Beginning Dance runs in 8-week sessions
• Price: Second Wind classes are free to seniors 65 and older; Second Wind Chair Dance is free for adults 65 and older

In the 2025–2026 season, Pamela Trokanski Dance Workshop is celebrating 41 years of dance in Davis. The faculty is comprised of teachers who possess professional experience in teaching, performance, and choreography. The studio is not a competition studio and focuses on creativity, cooperation, collaboration, and community. The program offers classes for dancers with ages ranging from their 4's to their 90's, including Dance for Parkinson’s, which invites the Parkinson’s community to a stimulating, enjoyable, non-threatening, social environment, and Second Wind and Second Wind Chair Dance, which are funded by the Pamela Trokanski Dance Theatre and The Third Stage. The Louise H. Kellogg Memorial Theater is used for performances by Pamela Trokanski Dance Theatre, the PTDT Apprentice Company, The Third Stage, the Light Ballet Company, and other local performing arts groups such as Red Maple Cultural Connection.
