Sol Surf Camp

Sol Surf Camp offers beginner surf instruction along with intermediate and advanced surf coaching. Campers spend time learning ocean safety, including ocean conditions such as tides, currents, and waves, as well as surf etiquette and safety. The program also covers surfboard form and function, the ocean environment and preservation, and includes fun times at the beach with new friends.

Sol Surf Camp is staffed by experienced professional surf instructors who are knowledgeable surfers with more than 10 years of surfing experience. All levels of surfers are welcome, with a minimum instructor-to-camper ratio of one to three. Instructors pay close attention to each individual camper, adjust instruction to meet each surfer’s particular needs, and stay in the water helping, watching, encouraging, and giving pointers. Campers surf side by side with experienced surf coaches, learn how and why they should respect the ocean, beach, and other surfers, and learn about the ocean in a fun safe environment. Sol Surf Camp states that it is putting the soul back in surfing by showing the new generation of surfers that there is more to surfing than just competing and showing off, and that surfing is about enjoying and respecting nature and having fun with friends.
