Del Mar Surf School offers private 1 on 1 surf lessons, small group surf lessons, beginner surf lessons, and intermediate surf lessons. Lessons cover surfing whitewater and surfing real waves, and all lessons are 90 minutes long. The program also offers surfboard rentals, boogie board rentals, wetsuit rentals, and a mini lesson to get participants started, along with shared surf lessons for kids 100lbs and under.
• Schedule: All lessons are 90 minutes; private surf lessons are 1.5 hour surf lessons; shared lessons for kids 100lbs and under are 1.5 hour lessons shared between 2 kids.
• Price: 8ft Surfboards $30 all day; 9ft Surfboard $30 all day; Boogie Boards $15 all day; Fiberglass Surfboards $40 all day; Wetsuit $20 all day or $10 with any board rental; 1 Person with 1 instructor $150; 2 People with 1 instructor $250; 3–5 people $100 per person; Shared lessons (kids 100lbs and under) $200 includes 2 wetsuits and 1 surfboard.
All lessons include a surfboard, wetsuit, and photos, and surf lesson photos are available to view and download on the Photo Gallery. Intermediate lessons include free photos. Participants are welcome to bring their own board, or Del Mar Surf School can supply one, with boards available in many shapes and sizes, including longboards and shortboards. Shared lessons are for kids 100lbs and under who will not last for 90 minutes, with only one child surfing at any time and a parent required to be present during the shared lesson. Free delivery and a mini lesson are available to get participants started, and there is a discount for multiple days. Instructors are knowledgeable surfers with more than 10 years surfing experience.
