The Diamond Bar Yamaha Music School was founded by, and is currently owned and operated by, Esther Kho. The program uses the Yamaha Music Education System for young beginners and recommends that children under 8 years old attend group lessons to get a strong foundation before taking any private instrument.

The mission of Diamond Bar Yamaha Music School is to instill in its students a deep enjoyment and appreciation of music by providing an innovative, effective, and fun music learning environment. All Yamaha Music Education System teachers at the school are certified YMES instructors who undertake intensive training programs, receive ongoing YMES training and support, and have their work regularly monitored.
