Action Youth America After-School and Out-of-School Programs

Action Youth America After-School and Out-of-School Programs offers homework help, academic sessions, and age-appropriate enrichment activities. The program also includes recreation activities, sports, nutrition education, and character development in a fun, safe, and stimulating environment. Content and staffing requirements are custom-built for each school and student needs, with a focus on the Common Core State Standards.

Action Youth America After-School and Out-of-School Programs was established in 1981, was formerly known as ICES Education, and has been serving Californian families for over 35 years. It is one of California’s longest-established providers of after-school and out-of-school learning programs and is a beneficiary of Federal and State grants. The mission of the program is to provide quality after-school programming to all stakeholders through innovative practices by providing an inspiring, caring, exciting, and stimulating education. The organization notes that partnerships with local businesses and organizations are a vital part of providing opportunities for its students and also offers volunteer and donation opportunities.
