School of Little Scholars Infant, Preschool & Kindergarten offers a high quality infant and toddler care program for children from 3 months through 2 years old. The program also offers an accelerated educational program for children in Toddler 2 years old through Kindergarten 6 years old, with instruction that is individualized so children can achieve success without becoming frustrated or bored. Students take part in a challenging curriculum and a wide variety of extracurricular activities in small classes with a low student-to-teacher ratio.

School of Little Scholars Infant, Preschool & Kindergarten states that its children are the focus of all its effort, and that it sees, treats, and educates each child as a unique individual, with the goal of meeting family needs while providing the best education for each child. The school follows the regulations of State Child Care Licensing. Health and safety practices include first aid kits in each classroom, an additional kit and parents’ emergency contact information taken on any off-site trip, posted emergency evacuation procedures in each classroom, emergency numbers listed near the telephone, and regular fire and earthquake drills. Additional health and safety practices include accident reports kept in each child’s file, immediate parent notification of any unusual or more serious incident, staff use of universal precautions, and supervised hand washing for children. Child care is offered from 6:30 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.
Staff members are required to have experience working with children and/or education in early childhood development. Lead staff teachers have at least 12 units in Early Childhood Education (ECE), 3 units in infant care, and AA or BA degrees in Early Child Learning. All teacher assistants, aides, and full-time classroom staff are required to have their Child Development Associate (CDA), a degree in Early Childhood Education, or to take at least one ECE class per year. Staff members are trained in First Aid and CPR.
