Summer at Quarry Lane

Summer at Quarry Lane offers for-credit, UC-approved mathematics and science courses, as well as enrichment courses in mathematics, language arts/creative writing, robotics, and public speaking. The program also includes the Summer STEM Academy, which features a full day of STEM exploration, and the Summer STEAM Academy, where students discover science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics through material and concept exploration. For-credit summer academic courses condense a full 37-week academic year into an intensive six-week term.

• Schedule: Six-week sessions from June 15 through July 24, with two three-week options from June 15 through July 2 and July 6 through July 24
• Price: 6-Week Sessions (June 15-July 24): $2,190. 3-Week Sessions (June 15-July 2 / July 6-July 24): $1,425.

Science morning courses run from 8:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m., math morning courses run from 8:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., and all enrichment morning courses run from 8:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. All afternoon courses run from 1:00 p.m. to 4:45 p.m.

Summer at Quarry Lane is part of The Quarry Lane School, a private, secular day school that provides an academically rigorous and supportive educational environment for students entering preschool through high school. The school has an ethnically diverse student body of 1,400 students at four campuses and is an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School. Quarry Lane's Dublin East Campus (Jr. K-Grade 12) is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges, the National Independent Private Schools Association, and the National Council for Private School Accreditation, and its other campuses are accredited by the National Independent Private Schools Association and the National Council for Private School Accreditation. The program is supported by a highly qualified, professional and experienced staff of over 195 teachers.

The Quarry Lane School serves communities within Alameda and Contra Costa Counties in the greater San Francisco East Bay Area, including Dublin, Pleasanton, Livermore, San Ramon, Castro Valley, Fremont, Danville, and Alamo. One parent, Tracy Lu, notes that her family has been part of the Quarry Lane School community for over 15 years and that the support, encouragement, and academic rigor at Quarry Lane helped solidify her son's college acceptance to Brown University.
