EPACENTER Programs offers activities in AI, robotics, architecture, culinary arts, percussion, piano, visual arts, environmental art, fashion design, animation, digital painting, content creation, music, social media, filmmaking, and audio engineering. EPACENTER Programs takes place in a welcoming and inclusive space for everyone to learn, create, and grow.

For more than a decade, EPACENTER has empowered the youth of East Palo Alto and serves as a creative development hub for the entire East Palo Alto community. EPACENTER Programs are led by teachers, practicing artists, designers, and health and wellness professionals. EPACENTER provides tuition-free programming along three developmental pathways: educational classes, job training programs, and ongoing creative and personal development support for participants. EPACENTER engages community members of all ages in organizational decision-making, leadership roles, and opportunities to drive cultural change, and other nonprofits, municipal agencies, and community organizations use EPACENTER’s space in support of the people of East Palo Alto. The organization’s mission is to increase opportunities for people of all ages to discover and amplify their talents, realize their potential, and impact the world through art, design, and technology. EPACENTER was originally conceived by the youth of East Palo Alto, and its building was designed by world-renowned architect Kulapat Yantrasast. The name is pronounced “EP-ih-sen-ter.” One participant shared, “I’ve developed so many different skills socially and emotionally alongside my community. I feel a sense of purpose at EPACENTER.”
