One volunteer says, “I know that if I don’t work service into a part of my life in a certain regularity, then it becomes so easy to push it aside. We get distracted by the urgent things, and forget to put things into the right places.Volunteering here helps me to keep my eyes on the things that are important but not necessarily urgent. It helps me to practice what I want to be.” Another volunteer, Elena, says, “The great part of it is seeing their progress through time and how they can slowly get better at what they do.” Elena accepted a postdoc position at Stanford.
