Shater Learning Center Tutoring Services offers kindergarten readiness tutoring, reading and writing support, math tutoring, Arabic classes, Spanish classes, English and language arts, computer science, SAT and ACT prep, college application assistance, and financial aid application assistance. Sessions are available one-on-one or in small groups, in person or online over Google Meet, and young children’s sessions are patient, playful, warm, hands-on, and paced for a young attention span.

- Spanish classes — kids, teens, adults, complete beginners · Spanish speaking, reading, and writing, one-on-one or in small groups, in person or online.
- Math — Math from elementary fundamentals through AP Calculus AB/BC and college courses.
- English and language arts — English and language arts from early readers to college essays.
- Computer science — Computer science, including AP Computer Science A and Principles.
- SAT and ACT prep — SAT and ACT preparation.

About the provider
The center was established in 2015. Its leadership team includes Ramiz Hanan, the owner, and Dr. Nour Nona, the founder. Ramiz Hanan is a software engineer with 7 years of experience and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering with a minor in Computer Science from San Diego State University in 2020. Dr. Nour Nona is a Math Professor and educational leader who earned a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of California, San Diego in 2023. The center says it has positively impacted hundreds of students countywide and serves El Cajon families and the local community.
For young children, sessions are patient, playful, warm, hands-on, and paced for a young attention span. Group sessions run 3 to 5 students at the same subject level. For young children, in-person is usually recommended. A free academic assessment is available for language classes. Pricing page lists in-person tutoring at $60 per hour, in-person group tutoring at $45 per hour per student, eight single group sessions at $320 per month for 3 to 5 kids, eight 60-minute one-on-one tutoring sessions at $450 per month, and twelve 60-minute one-on-one tutoring sessions at $645 per month.
