Ah-Lan Dance Studio offers a wide range of dance and movement classes, including Chinese Dance, Ballet, Wugong (Chinese acrobatics), classical Chinese dance, and Chinese folk dance. Students can also learn ribbon dance, fan dance, sword dance, Tibetan dance, Mongolian dance, Uighur dance, Dai dance, Korean dance, Classical Ballet, Modern Dance, Zumba, Yoga, Hula Hoop, Ballroom, and Miao Ethnicity Dance. The studio offers Chinese Performance Division classes as well as drop-in fitness and dance classes.

Ah-Lan Dance Studio has offered Chinese Dance classes in Albany and El Cerrito for over 15 years. The performance division includes traditional classes in Chinese Dance, Ballet, and Wugong. Each year, classes learn a new dance to perform at an annual gala and at festivals and performances throughout the year.
According to its mission statement, Ah-Lan Dance seeks to have students become physically and spiritually healthy and to take part in community service activities that communicate a variety of cultural riches to the community. The studio is expanding its class offerings to include a wide variety of fitness and dance classes from many cultures around the world. Basic training in Wugong and classical ballet is described by the studio as great conditioning of the body and mind.
Students and performers at Ah-Lan Dance Studio range from pre-K tots to adults and include all ages in between. Many adult dancers, including some who started dancing after watching their children, take part in classes in a supportive and friendly community. Many of these adult dancers have been able to fulfill long-held dreams of performing on stage.
