Cerrito Dance Arts Center

Cerrito Dance Arts Center offers classes in Ballet, Tap, Hip Hop, Broadway Jazz, Lyrical, and Contemporary Jazz. The program presents these different dance styles in a non-competitive setting with age-appropriate skills and a positive approach to teaching. The program states that all children benefit from dance as it develops their self-esteem and confidence while they explore their creative potential, and that working with music, movement, rhythm, and memory impacts and broadens all parts of daily life.

Cerrito Dance Arts Center notes that it is “Celebrating life through dance” and highlights “50 Years of Excellence!” in its history. The leadership team includes Director Maryse Young, who teaches Ballet and Tap; Ariana Gray, who teaches Hip Hop, Broadway Jazz, and Lyrical; and Becca McLachlan, who teaches Ballet, Contemporary Jazz, and Lyrical. The program’s mission statement emphasizes a positive approach to teaching in a non-competitive setting with age-appropriate skills.
