Golestan Education Preschool is part of Golestan Education, which includes preschool, after school, and elementary school programs. The preschool and after school programs use a fully integrated, experiential-based approach in a Persian language immersion environment, and the elementary school uses an academically rigorous, project-based learning approach with a global perspective. Across the programs, Golestan Education states, “We Are Kind. We Are Thoughtful. We Are Courageous.”

At Golestan Education, the stated mission is to partner with children, families, and educators to create joyful learning environments that are collaborative, grounding, and connected to the natural world, and to do challenging and meaningful work that creates a community of kind, thoughtful, and courageous learners who will embrace diversity and steward the earth for future generations. The program describes immersing children in nature within a highly academic yet loving environment. Golestan Kids admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally made available to students at the school, and it states that it does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other school-administered programs. The program states that it does not accept unscheduled or drop-in visits.
Golestan Education has been selected by the Ashoka Foundation as a Changemaker School and is a member of the National COVID-19 Outdoor Learning Initiative. Through its Colab, it runs a pro-bono consultancy that collaborates with local and global educators and community organizations to create what it describes as their ideal learning environment for children.
