Golestan Summer Camp is a bilingual Persian and English language program, and campers do not need any prior Persian language exposure to participate. Bilingual English and Persian instruction both challenges Persian speakers and introduces new speakers to the language, and all participants should be open to exposure to the Persian language. The camp’s guiding values are Kindness, Thoughtfulness, and Courage, and these values are threaded into all students’ experiences and activities. Golestan Kids admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin and does not discriminate on that basis in its programs and policies.

Golestan Education states that it partners with children, families, and educators to create joyful learning environments that are collaborative, grounding, and connected to the natural world, and that it does challenging and meaningful work to create a community of kind, thoughtful, and courageous learners who will embrace diversity and steward the earth for future generations. Its preschool and after school programs use a fully integrated, experiential-based approach in a Persian language immersion environment, and its elementary school uses an academically rigorous, project-based learning approach with a global perspective. Golestan has been selected by the Ashoka Foundation as a Changemaker School. The Colab, connected to Golestan, is described as a pro-bono consultancy that collaborates with local and global educators and community organizations to create their ideal learning environment for children.
