Winslow Tennis Academy offers kids age group half day camps, high performance camps, weekly and small group tennis classes, and Saturday afternoon peer group classes for kids. The program also runs physically and mentally rigorous clinics for competitive junior players, a junior team with Friday team matches and events, and clinics for high school varsity players. Adult options include a Saturday clinic for Strong 3.5, 3.5+ and Lower 4.0 players, clinics for 3.0 women and 3.5/3.5+/4.0 adult players, adult clinics, and private lessons.

• Ages: 6–18 years old
• Schedule: Spring kids classes and clinics are offered on weekdays after school and on Saturday afternoons, with many sessions running 1 to 2 hours; junior and teen clinics commonly meet in 1.5- to 2-hour blocks on weekday afternoons and Saturdays; adult clinics are offered bi-weekly on Wednesday evenings and Friday mornings, and on Saturday mornings and late mornings, with sessions ranging from 1 to 2 hours.
• Price: Saturday kids age group classes are $30 each time, pay-as-you-go; small group lessons with assistant coaches are $30 per hour or $35 for 1.5 hours; Coach Alexander’s clinics use a sliding scale based on number of players and usually cost $40 or $45 per player.

Winslow Tennis Academy is led by owner Alexander Winslow, an RSPA-certified instructor, SafeSport-certified coach, long-time USTPA-certified teaching professional, and member of the Wilson Gold Staff Advisory Program. His background includes being a former nationally ranked junior, a former NCAA Division 1 varsity starting player and starting member of the San Jose State University varsity men’s tennis team, and former head coach of Bishop O’Dowd High School’s boys and girls varsity teams. Assistant coaches Chey Rosally, Leighton Sproul, Caden Winslow, and Nathan Beadles are described as bright, fun, knowledgeable, and athletic high schoolers who know and love tennis and teaching tennis to young kids.

The Winslow Tennis Academy has been helping kids build their tennis journeys and providing instruction and coaching for years. Its mission statement says it is for having fun while becoming players, keeping kids moving, learning and having fun, and that it is for players of all ages and levels with a focus on having fun while “getting after it.” The academy has players on the Berkeley High, Albany High, and El Cerrito High girls and boys varsity teams, and academy players who graduated from El Cerrito High and Albany High and are now launching college careers.
