E-Bike Sense is led by founder Megan Lamb. Megan is a former PE educator, competitive triathlete and cyclist, and lifelong safety advocate. Megan is a Certified League of American Bicyclists League Cycling Instructor (LCI). The program’s mission states that it is an e-bike safety course that gives kids practical tools and mental awareness to ride responsibly, and that its training addresses the realities and risks of e-bikes and the role riders play in their community. E-Bike Sense is described as the only e-bike safety training class for kids in the Beach Cities area and as a one-of-a-kind course that fuses interactive, compelling classroom education with experiential e-bike training in a 2-hour format. All courses are 2 hours and require participants to bring their own e-bikes, and participants are asked whether they will have their own e-bike or a rental, and whether they will have their own helmet.
The program notes that it is centrally located in South Bay and easily accessible to South Bay locations including Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach, Redondo Beach, El Segundo, Torrance, Palos Verdes, and surrounding areas. E-Bike Sense is rated 5/5 stars on Google. Testimonials from parents and colleagues describe Megan as highly professional, knowledgeable about cycling safety protocol after 15 years as a competitive cyclist and triathlete, and a person of integrity and strong character, and they describe the class as “essential E-bike training,” “a must have class for the next generation,” and “a much needed class” that they highly recommend.
