Hilltop Christian Preschool and Day Camp includes activities such as art, science, music, creative movement, dramatic play, Bible, literature, and kindergarten readiness. Children take part in circle time, learning centers, arts and crafts, science lessons, cooking lessons, Fluency & Fitness, song and dance, and field trips. Daily routines also include self-feeding, playing and caring for toys, potty training, singing a song, blowing bubbles, and reading a book.

Hilltop Christian Preschool and Day Camp was opened in October 1992. The program offers a well-balanced preschool program for children two through five years of age, with a Busy Bee class designed for two-year-olds, a Playful Pandas class for children moving up from the Busy Bees, and a Delightful Dolphins program to prepare students for kindergarten. Classroom activities work around monthly themes and the classroom is arranged with different centers including dramatic play, a manipulative center, a quiet area, blocks and Legos, an art center, literacy and language, and math. The Busy Bee class has a ratio of one teacher to ten children. The program includes morning and afternoon snack, naptime, and balanced indoor and outdoor playtime in a faith-based Christian environment.
The philosophy of Hilltop Christian Preschool and Day Camp is to promote the development of each child’s own unique creative potential and encourage self esteem and development of positive self concepts through Christian principles. The stated purpose is to serve the children and the families in the community by offering a nurturing and stimulating Christian environment for young children. The school currently serves parents and children who live and/or work in El Segundo and the surrounding communities.
The facility has 24-hour surveillance cameras and a security system that requires parents to be buzzed in to enter the building. The school is licensed, certified, and accredited to provide preschool and afterschool care. All teachers are educated in early childhood education, are CPR certified, and are first aid certified. The director is Eromie Kumarage.
