Canyon Swim School offers swimming instruction in a pool with water temperatures above 90 degrees. The program uses an ideal-size teaching pool and well-trained, knowledgeable instructors for its swimming classes.

Canyon Swim School was established in 1951 and is owned by brothers Fred and Bill Brown. The owners have been teaching since 1956 and have over 100 combined years of teaching and coaching experience, and staff members are trained by the owners for consistent instruction. The focus of the swim school is to provide children and adults with the tools needed to develop basic swimming skills, learn breath control, have a comfortable and enjoyable water experience, and acquire the knowledge and skills to be water-safe.
Canyon Swim School ranks as one of the top swim schools in the Bay Area and is one of the oldest swim schools. The program uses a badge award system with 14 levels of progression, and all classes are grouped by age and ability. Classes have small student/teacher ratios of 4:1 and 5:1. The school notes incredible, proven teaching techniques, a comfortable learning environment, and constantly improving grounds and equipment for the enjoyment and convenience of all.
Families park in the front parking lot near San Pablo Dam Road and walk back down Campbell Lane to the pool, using a designated, roped-off walking area as a courtesy to neighbors and due to vehicles on Campbell Lane. Campbell Lane is reserved for residents of the lane and staff members only, and families are asked not to drive down Campbell Lane for any reason. Parents or guardians are required to remain on the premises with their children, and drop-offs are not allowed. Parking arrangements for handicapped persons may be made with the office, and carpools with 5 or more swimmers may arrange to use the back parking lot.
