Sherrie’s Dance Studio was established in 1980. Sherrie, who leads the studio, is a life-long resident of the Richmond and El Sobrante area and was trained by the Matilda Meyer Dance Studio of Richmond. Each of Sherrie’s Dance Studio’s teachers is an adult with a blend of years of teaching experience, talent, enthusiasm, and love.

Sherrie’s Dance Studio’s instructors state that they take pride in offering a quality dance education through both recreational and competitive classes. According to the studio, the main focus is to build self-esteem and confidence in dancers, as well as to teach them the art of dance. The studio describes dance education as including more than technique or steps, with each class challenging dancers to improve and master basic skills and positions. The studio also states that it offers many opportunities for dancers to perform, to advance, and to grow as individuals. The studio believes that the discipline of dance training gives young people a better understanding of commitment, teamwork, and hard work.
