Encore! Studio of Performing Arts – Dance Camps

Encore! Studio of Performing Arts – Dance Camps offers one-day dance camps that include dance, music activities, creative expressions, and mimes. Each camp also uses ballet videos and activity pages that match specific ballet themes such as Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, Princesses, Coppelia, The Nutcracker, and Hip Hop themes. Participants may wear leotards, tights, and ballet shoes, or they may choose loose, comfortable clothing and socks.

• Schedule: One Day Camps for ages 3–5, 4–6, and 7–10 held in June, July, and August

Encore! Studio of Performing Arts lists Miss Lisa Brown as the Artistic Director. The studio states that it has been serving the Elk Grove community since 1985 and currently has more than 700 students who study music, drama, and dance in over 72 different weekly classes. The studio offers classes from newborn through adult and also runs workshops, camps, and tea parties.

The mission of Encore! Studio of Performing Arts is to provide a noncompetitive environment where students are encouraged in building self-esteem, poise, and grace while being taught proper dance technique and vocabulary in each style of dance. The mission also states that the goal is for all students to have an opportunity to enjoy music, dance, and drama in a comfortable, no-pressure, fun way. Dance camps are limited in size, have no exams or try-outs, and all participants are welcome, but not required, to join at their level of ability in any or all recital productions. The studio describes its atmosphere as highlighting “family values” in a child-safe, friendly environment.
