IR Academy of Soccer

IR Academy of Soccer is an introductory competitive soccer program where players train and compete through high-quality soccer training. Participants work on soccer skills and foundational soccer skills in station-based modules with IR Academy coaches. The program includes both introductory soccer and an introductory competitive soccer program aimed at players and families interested in experiencing the joy and fun of soccer in a stress-free environment.

IR Academy of Soccer is part of a development-first club with girls and boys teams from 6–18 years old and the top Juniors and Littles academies in the region. It is Elk Grove's National Premier League club and has 75 alumni playing collegiately or professionally. The goal of the club is to provide girls and boys with a first-class, highly competitive soccer experience where they can strengthen their physical, mental and social skills, and it offers player-centric experiences that build community and pride, with an emphasis that soccer means family, teamwork, and a chance to thrive.

IR Academy of Soccer Development is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and a proud member of both US Club Soccer and the Norcal Premier Soccer League. The organization is community based and committed to the individual player's development, with a mission that emphasizes training appropriate for each player's age and ability level regardless of financial background. Its primary goal is the development of players from diverse backgrounds into motivated performers, and it seeks to instill the awareness that success can be achieved with hard work, discipline and dedication.

In 2007, the girls competitive soccer club Rage was launched in Elk Grove. In 2009, leaders from Rage and the Inter boys competitive soccer club in Sacramento agreed to a merger and became Inter Rage. In the years following, Inter Rage became IR Academy.
