Art Tiles By Carla Art Camps & Classes includes creating with clay using the imagination, learning to center and throw on the pottery wheel with hands-on instruction, and hand building techniques using coil, slab, sculpture, and pinch. Camp sessions also include painting with different mediums, drawing techniques using pastels and other mediums, and mosaics. The art camp is staged at the instructor's home every summer with a primary focus on hand building in clay.

Art Tiles By Carla Art Camps & Classes is led by Carla Funk, a self-taught artist who has taken many art classes primarily in ceramics, painting, drawing, and classes for developing teaching art to children. She has been teaching art since 1986, began creating with clay in the late 1980s, began making tiles around 1999, and has staged an art camp at her home every summer for 16 years relative to 2012. Students are encouraged to create from their imagination, step by step lesson plans are demonstrated, and students receive individual attention. The instructor continues with art education in order to keep the camps and classes new and exciting and teaches children of all ages together in one camp session or class. Community involvement includes fundraiser projects for schools and the community, fundraiser projects for schools are available, and she has been commissioned by the California State Parks for the San Clemente State Park campground.
