Swim Synergy has over 20 years of experience, and its founder Krista has been a Drowning Prevention Specialist since 2005 with over 18 years of experience. The program’s mission is to save lives by offering effective water safety instruction for infants, children, and adults, as well as drowning prevention tips. Swim Synergy provides personalized, one-on-one instruction for all ages, with one student per instructor and never more than one instructor in the water, and offers adult and children’s in-home private swim lessons year round. Private survival swim lessons are conducted in outdoor heated pools maintained at 92 degrees, and during each lesson the pool is exclusively used for that student, with comfortable seating, soft music, and upscale restrooms and changing areas at lesson locations.
Krista holds a B.A. Degree in Psychology with an emphasis in Child Development from SDSU and is a Certified American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor, Certified in Infant/Toddler Survival Swim Instruction, Certified with San Diego Hospice and the Institute for Palliative Medicine/Pediatrics, a Certified Deep Water Lifeguard, and Certified in American Red Cross CPR & First Aid, and is TrustLine Registered with a comprehensive background verification. Swim Synergy is a proud member of the National Drowning Prevention Alliance, and instructors complete a comprehensive training regime of over 180–200 hours and are committed to annual educational advancement. Krista is involved in the drowning prevention community and has volunteer experience with San Diego Hospice and the Institute for Palliative Medicine, particularly on the pediatric team.
Parent feedback includes reports of children progressing quickly in 15 minute lessons and learning survival skills such as getting to safety while fully dressed in winter clothes. One family credits skills taught in the program with preventing a potential drowning for their two-year-old son. Other parents describe long-term trust with Krista, appreciation for the specific strategies and techniques their children learned, and gratitude for the dedication, love, care, and effort put into their children’s lessons.
