Community Players Theatre includes improv performances, theatrical performances, and a variety of behind-the-scenes roles. Participants can take part in auditions and performances for the improv show “IMPROVerbs” and for “Agatha Christie's The Mousetrap,” as well as help with ticket-taking, set-building, stage crew work, costuming, prop-hunting, and child-wrangling for theatre productions.
• Schedule: Auditions for IMPROVerbs are July 7 and 9 from 6:30–8:30 pm, with performances from August 21–30. Auditions for Agatha Christie's The Mousetrap run September 1–6, with performances from November 6–21.
Community Players Theatre is a non-profit theatre company of Community Lutheran Church. Its mission statement describes it as a place of encouragement, growth, and grace on and off stage, connected to the love of God shown in Jesus, while producing shows. The IMPROVerbs improv team is open to both veterans and newcomers to improv, and past shows have included The King and I, Oklahoma, Mary Poppins, and Godspell.
