Shadow Glen Riding Stables

Shadow Glen Riding Stables offers trail rides, private riding lessons, group lessons, and lesson programs, along with summer camps for kids and other horse and ranch camps. The program also provides horse boarding, hands-on horse adventures, Sacramento trail riding, an Amazing Summer Camp, a Trail Riding FUN Feed, and riding, camping, and ranch experiences for children and families.

• Schedule: Office hours 7 days a week, 8:00 am–4:00 pm

Shadow Glen Riding Stables has been serving the Sacramento area for over 45 years. All guides are certified Wranglers and Instructors who are CPR and First Aid certified. The stated goal of the program is a fun, safe adventure and a chance to experience the “Old West.” Terry is the owner and operator and has been in the equine industry for 45 years, comes from a family of horse professionals, owns a personally trained herd of 100 horses, and also owns a ranch in Quincy, CA that offers riding, camping, and ranch experiences for children and families. If a rider is over 250 pounds or has special needs, the program asks that families call ahead so staff can make sure the horse is ready.
