Counselor in Training Program

The Counselor in Training Program includes required meetings and trainings with staff before summer starts to prepare participants to assist in camps. Once all Counselor in Training information is collected, staff meet with the CITs to ensure they are prepared to assist in camps. Each Monday during camp season, CITs meet with camp directors at 8am.

• Ages: 11–15 years old
• Schedule: CITs meet with camp directors at 8am each Monday during camp season
• Price: Parents must pay a fee of $300.00 to register their child for a CIT spot.

The Counselor in Training Program is for middle school and early high school students. Registration is based on a first come, first serve system, and families are encouraged to apply for the wait list if it fills up. CITs who participate in camps receive a stipend based on their years of experience. There is an option to sign up for the Counselor in Training Program. The program is led by Anne Mannes, Recreation and Community Services Manager, and questions can be directed to Anne at [email protected]. The mission of the Counselor in Training Program is to offer unique opportunities for developing personal and professional skills while encouraging participants to enjoy the natural beauty and wonder of the town.
