About
West Marin Youth Soccer League is a youth soccer program where kids play organized soccer. The program focuses on soccer activities supported by volunteer parent coaches who work with professional trainers.
• Ages: 5–18 years old
The West Marin Youth Soccer League has been committed to fostering the growth and development of community youth through soccer since 1979. U06 through U10 teams play their games at multiple local schools until they reach 5th grade, at which point they move up to play in the Marin Interleague Soccer Alliance (MISA). MISA provides an opportunity for 5th–12th graders to play teams from other recreational programs throughout Marin County. The program works closely with professional trainers who provide support, mentorship and guidance to the volunteer parent coaches.
The league’s mission is to provide a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment where kids of all backgrounds can learn, play, and thrive both on and off the field, and to instill life skills such as teamwork, sportsmanship, perseverance, and respect while promoting physical fitness and a love for the game in a fun, safe and supportive environment.
West Marin Youth Soccer League draws players from Fairfax, Sleepy Hollow, San Anselmo, Stinson Beach, Point Reyes, the San Geronimo Valley, Bolinas and surrounding areas. The leadership team includes President Celina De Leon, Vice President David Ortiz, Administrator ([email protected]), Director of Coaches Luis Quezada, Director of Referees, MISA Representative and Equipment lead Peter Ammerall, Sponsorships lead Sergei Tchelakov, Secretary Christine Kelly, Registrar, Area Coordinator/Fairfax Alex Spilger, Area Coordinator/Valley David Ortiz, Area Coordinator/Pt.
