Kinderblast Preschool
Kinderblast Preschool, 102 Marinda Dr, 102A, Fairfax, CA 94930
About
Kinderblast Preschool offers a play-based program where children take command of their own exploration. Teachers provide support, appropriate materials, and create projects to help children follow their natural curiosity, interests, and passions. The preschool environment is described as safe and loving, where children feel acknowledged, understood, and heard.
• Schedule: Preschool Monday – Friday 8am – 5:30pm; Administration Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm
Kinderblast Preschool is a project of Growing Grace Inc, a California non-profit educational organization, and donations to the program are tax-deductible within the U.S. The mission of Kinderblast Preschool is to create a preschool environment where children feel loved and seen, to facilitate and support each child in tapping into their unique gifts, and to create conditions for life-long learning through observation, exploration, play, listening, and questioning. The preschool was born from the vision that each child can thrive when held in an environment where they feel seen, safe, and loved, and its vision began with the Funderblast Summer Camps. In the broader Funderblast Programs, including Summer Camps, After School Camps, Kids Night Out, and School Holiday Camps, small, loving programs are created where kids are given permission to show up as their true authentic, radiant selves.
Kinderblast Preschool states that it admits students of any race, color, nationality, and ethnic origin to all programs and activities and does not discriminate on the basis of race, religious creed, color, national origin, ancestry, physical disability, mental disability, medical condition, genetic information, sex, gender, gender identity, gender expression, or sexual orientation in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other school-administered programs. According to the program, teachers are there to provide support and facilitate the child’s learning, but children determine the direction of their own education, and teachers support children in developing skills in social, emotional, cognitive, and physical domains. The program states that children will leave Kinderblast prepared for a life of learning and growth, aware of who they are, and with permission and awareness that it is safe to be just that, and that Kinderblast wants children to come away grounded, centered in who they are, able to communicate with others, and making positive choices.
One parent testimonial describes that their daughter attended Kinderblast for over two years and loved it, and notes that the teachers care about the children and work hard every day to create a fun, safe, magical space. The same testimonial describes Kinderblast as a play-based program that is developmentally appropriate for the age group served and notes that the program still finds ways to teach important life skills.
