Uplifting Arts Academy

Uplifting Arts Academy offers dance training across multiple styles, including ballet, jazz, modern, hip hop, tap, and more. The program includes storytelling and creative expression, leadership development and team building, and live youth performances such as recitals and community events. From first steps in the studio to real world experiences, opportunities are designed to help students grow in confidence, creativity, and community.

• Ages: 3–17 years old
• Schedule: Spring Dance Recital on Saturday, June 27, 2026; a two-week Summer Dance Camp from July 20 through July 31, 2026; the Rise Together event on Saturday, September 19, 2026; and classes for the next season beginning August 3, 2026
• Price: Spring Dance Recital tickets are $15 general admission or $20 at the door; Rise Together event tickets are $20 Early Access through September 14, 2026, and $25 general admission; tuition for the next season starts at $65 per month

Uplifting Arts Academy was founded in 2018 by Ms. Shaquan Young. The academy’s mission is to provide a safe place where one can nourish their gifts and learn to accept and believe in themselves the way God intended. The Spring Dance Recital “We Are One” celebrates the growth, discipline, and unity of students, and the Summer Dance Camp offers a dynamic two week experience designed to help students grow in confidence, creativity, and leadership.

Rise Together is Uplifting Arts Academy’s signature community event, including live youth performances, a Community Impact Briefing, and recognition of individuals strengthening the community. Proceeds from Rise Together support Uplifting Arts Academy’s programs and the development of youth workforce initiatives, and the academy is expanding its impact through a youth workforce development model that extends support for young adults up to age 24 and connects creativity with real world opportunity and long term success. Uplifting Arts Academy is headquartered in Fontana and serves San Bernardino and Riverside Counties.
