Foster City Seasonal Camps offers sports, active games, outdoor games, indoor games, and a variety of camp skits, stories, and songs. Campers take part in arts and crafts, including silly arts and crafts projects, as well as cooking projects and science projects. The program also includes crazy song singing and other song singing, along with additional games and crafts throughout the camp sessions.
• Ages: 4–16 years old
The Foster City Seasonal Camps leadership team includes Parks and Recreation staff such as the Parks and Recreation Director, Recreation Manager, Parks Manager, Recreation Coordinators, Management Coordinator, Administrative Assistant, and Office Assistant I. Foster City Camps offer vacation break camps during Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer for children in TK–8th grades. FUNtastic Fall Camp, Wild N' Wacky Winter Camp, and Super Duper Spring Break Camps are for children in K–5th grade, Kamp Koala is for children entering TK or Kindergarten, Camp Outback is for children entering 1st–2nd grade, Camp Wayoutback is for 3rd–4th graders, and Camp Breakaway is for teens entering 5th–8th grade. Kamp Koala campers must be 4 years old when camp starts, must be fully toilet-trained, and Kamp Koala is not a summer preschool. Camp Wayoutback campers have the option to participate in an overnight stay at The Vibe in August. Kamp Koala campers take local field trips on Tuesdays, Camp Outback campers take one field trip per week on Wednesdays, and Camp Wayoutback campers take one field trip per week on Thursdays, unless otherwise noted. Camp Breakaway visits Bay Area parks and attractions each week, and some field trips include water or swimming elements. Registration for these camps is on a first come, first serve basis until spots are filled, and no day-of or onsite registration is accepted for Kamp Koala, Camp Outback, Camp Wayoutback, and Camp Breakaway. Campers who do not attend a field trip do not receive refunds, pro-rated fees, or additional child care.
For FUNtastic Fall Camp, Wild N' Wacky Winter Camp, Super Duper Spring Break Camp, Camp Outback, Camp Wayoutback, and Camp Breakaway, campers should bring a healthy bag lunch, snacks, water, and sunscreen each day. Kamp Koala campers should bring a healthy bag lunch, water, and sunscreen each day, and a snack is provided daily for Kamp Koala. Parents are asked to notify camp staff if a child is a non-swimmer or has limited swimming skills. If a child has special needs or medical conditions, parents are instructed to attach a note to the registration form and schedule an appointment with the Youth or Teen Coordinator. A separate Counselors in Training Summer Program is available for 13–16 year olds.
