Hillbarn Theatre Conservatory offers theatre education in an intimate 179 seat theatre. Theatre education is taught by Broadway and Regional Theatre professionals and educators.

Hillbarn Theatre Conservatory is led by Executive Artistic Director Steve Muterspaugh and Conservatory Director Sarah Jebian. Hillbarn Theatre & Conservatory is in Season 86 and has also presented Season 85. Its mission is to create a supportive, all-inclusive environment where students can cultivate and share their passion, talent, and diverse backgrounds as they collaborate to create theatre, to instill the skills they will need to become the best artists they can be and build a more conscious and compassionate society, and to challenge, engage, and inspire students to celebrate their own uniqueness and the power of the performing arts. Hillbarn Theatre & Conservatory creates live, award-winning theatre and offers conservatory education programs. Its programming is driven by the founding ideal “To create theatre with the community, for the community,” producing both classic and contemporary works that explore narratives utilizing the intimate space and blurring the lines between the audience and the artists. Hillbarn Theatre & Conservatory is dedicated to three guiding principles: quality, diversity, and community, and seeks to be the artistic home for the community, providing productions and programs that make an essential contribution to the quality of life in the Bay Area. Hillbarn Theatre acknowledges that it resides on the traditional land of the Ramaytush Ohlone people and honors with gratitude the land itself and the people who have stewarded it throughout the generations.
