About
Rally Camps is a multi-sport summer camp where campers play basketball, soccer, baseball, tennis, and floor hockey. Campers are grouped by grade and rotate through different sports and games, and every week of Rally Camps is unique. The camp amplifies fun, eliminates screen time, and keeps kids moving with sports, games, and activities in a high-energy environment, and campers strive to earn awards for effort and leadership.
• Ages: 4–13 years old
Rally Camps is a day camp for boys and girls in Pre-K to rising 8th grade, with early pick-up or late drop-off available. The team meets families on arrival, escorts campers from the car, and manages carline pick-up with a digital attendance platform. In the afternoon, staff help load bags and sports equipment, help campers remember their belongings, and ensure an authorized grown-up picks up each child through the digital attendance platform.
The program has a zero-tolerance policy for any activities that may put campers at risk physically or emotionally, and staff conduct regular safety checks and inspections of grounds, facilities, and equipment. Each Rally Camps site has a trained medical staff member, such as an EMT, Paramedic, or Nurse, on-site for the duration of the camp day, and staff complete ongoing training on safety protocols and procedures. Staff are professional educators with deep experience in child management and development and are trained to handle any situation with care and attention.
Rally was founded in 2012, and its goal is to teach indelible life skills and foster fun experiences through sports and other activities during the times that children are out of school. The leadership team includes Kevin Hoover, Chief Executive Officer; Katherine Rothschild, Chief of Staff; Madi Earnshaw, Director, Operations & Marketing; and Chris Evans, General Manager, Rally Day Camps. Chris Evans holds a BA in English and History from UC Irvine, a Masters in Education Organization and Leadership from the University of Illinois, USATF Level II Certification Endurance Athletes, and USATF Special Certification Cross-Country Coach.
Kevin Hoover serves as the Education Chair on the board of the California Collaboration for Youth and as an Athletic board member at Fordham University. Kevin and his wife, Laura, are active members of several organizations that serve underprivileged youth that provide opportunities for safety and growth. Rally has operated programs for numerous professional sports teams for over 10 years.
