About
Treehouse @ the J offers afterschool activities that include STEM projects, art, physical fitness, social-emotional learning, basketball, pickleball, swimming, time in an outdoor Gaga Pit, and time in a garden. The program also includes homework or quiet reading time and storytime as part of the daily routine. A sample day for TK/Kindergarten includes lunch and social time, outdoor free play and structured activities, a group meeting with a daily themed project such as STEM or art, snack, storytime and classroom exploration, and outdoor play, while a sample day for grades 1–5 includes snack, outdoor free play and structured activities, a group meeting with a themed project such as STEM or art, homework or quiet reading time, classroom exploration, and outdoor play.

• Price: $145 non-refundable application fee is required upon submission.
Treehouse @ the J states the mission: “Be part of an inclusive, engaging afterschool program where children thrive, explore, and grow together.” The program notes that it is rooted in the values of kehillah (community), shleimut (wholeness), and tikkun olam (repairing the world). Treehouse @ the J is licensed by the State of California, Facility ID 414002676. Unique features include free transportation from designated local elementary schools to the program, safe and reliable transportation with free pickup from local elementary schools, minimum day pickups every Wednesday from all listed schools, full-day care on select school holidays, priority registration for Camp Keff with exclusive rates, and a PJCC Family Membership for every Treehouse family. The program is now accepting applications for the 2026–2027 school year.
