Gurukul Academy After School Program

Gurukul Academy After School Program includes activities such as Robotics, Arts, Yoga, and Bollywood Dance. The program also offers language enrichment in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Marathi, and Gujarathi, along with homework help, readiness for tests, and support aligned with Common Core. Activities and projects are based on each child’s individual interests, strengths, and needs.

Gurukul Academy After School Program opened its doors in 2005 in the Ardenwood area and later moved to a larger facility. The program describes its name as a reflection of ancient Indian Vedic culture, explaining that “gurukul” means a place where the student becomes part of the teacher’s family to learn culture, gain knowledge, explore, observe, and prepare for life. It is a licensed after school care program that offers pick-up service from all schools, weekday and weekend activities, a kindergarten program for AM and PM students, and a setting that includes a library, furnished kitchen, dedicated space for each student, and an area for group activities.
