Math Science Nucleus K-8 Science Programs include activities such as Free Adult (Saturday) and Family (Wednesday) Tours. The program offers 2026 Science Summer Camps and themed events including Roses in the Garden at California Nursery on May 23, which is free. It also features Follow Fossils at CNHM as part of its science-focused activities. Free Curriculum and Free Email Updates are available to families who participate.

Math Science Nucleus manages programs connected with the Children's Natural History Museum, Tule Ponds at Tyson Lagoon, California Nursery Historical Park, the Hayward Fault in Fremont, and Masonic Reforestation. The mission of Math Science Nucleus is stated as “Developing strategies so children solve problems through science.” The leadership team includes Joyce Blueford, Ph.D., Board President for general programs, science content, curriculum, industry programs, and science research projects; Karen Anderson, Ph.D., Vice President at Mattos Science Magnet School for scout programs; Hagos Tewolde, Office Manager for animations, scheduling, and IT; Art Williams for Tule Ponds as a restoration specialist; Althea Weber-Whitfield, B.S., as Collections Manager for educational classes and field trips; and Gaetano Palazzo, Ph.C., as Staff Paleontologist for education. Staff credentials also include Ken Miller, Electrical Engineer, and Virginia Friedman, Paleontologist.
