Art studio gives kids time to work with clay, drawing materials, paint, charcoal, ink, wood, and glue. The program includes activities such as working with clay, drawing, painting, and using a variety of other art mediums.

• Schedule: September through May, Monday–Thursday, 3:30–5:30 p.m.
Suzanne Henderson leads art studio and has been teaching art to young people for many years. The program’s mission states that arts instruction through visual awareness develops creative and critical thinking, builds confidence, and helps young people thrive. It includes learning about major artists throughout history and how they made their work, and studying masterworks throughout the centuries to inform how students see and interpret the world. The program also states that it will respect and honor the visual expression that emerges from each individual’s work. Through the teaching of art to children, Suzanne Henderson fosters self-confidence, encourages hopeful feelings, and inspires respect for others and the planet.
