Legacy Dance Studio

Legacy Dance Studio offers Hip Hop classes, Jazz classes, Tap classes, Ballet & Tap, Contemporary classes, and Beg./inT. Turns & Leaps. The class list includes Tiny Tot Hip Hop - Hip Hop 1, Hip Hop 2 - Hip hop 3, Hip Hop 4 & 5, Jazz 1, Jazz 2, Jazz 3/4, Tap 3/4, Contemporary 1/2, Contemporary 3/4, and Intermediate & Advanced Open Hip Hop.

Programs

• Tiny Tot Hip Hop - Hip Hop 1 — 3-5 years & 5-8 years · Class Level - Beginner. Introductory class of body awareness and choreography in a fun, friendly and positive manner.
• Hip Hop 2 - Hip hop 3 — 7 & Up · Class Level - Beginning/Intermediate. Students dive deeper into understanding music, movement, and basic Hip Hop fundamentals.
• Hip Hop 4 & 5 — 9 Years+ · Class Level - Intermediate/Advanced. Hip Hop classes challenge movement quality, musicality, and choreography retention, while maintaining strong performance.
• Jazz 1 — 5-8 years · Class Level - Beginning. Focuses on basic Jazz technique, choreography, body awareness, and flexibility in a fun, energetic way.
• Jazz 2 — 7+ years · Class Level - Beginning/Intermediate. Focuses on the basics of jazz and technique including flexibility, center control, spotting, turning and leaping.
• Jazz 3/4 — 9+ years · Class Level - Intermediate/Advanced. Highest level Jazz class for dancers with strong flexibility and technique wanting to challenge choreography and performing aspects.
• Tap 3/4 — 9+ years · Class Level - Intermediate/Advanced. Geared towards students who have strong technique and an understanding of tap musicality.
• Ballet & Tap — 3-5 years · Class Level - Beginning. A super fun and interactive class for young dancers to explore creative movement and be introduced to ballet and tap terminology and technique.
• Contemporary 1/2 — 5+ years · Class Level - Beginning. Introduced to an expressive style of dance that combines several elements from modern, jazz, lyrical, and ballet.
• Contemporary 3/4 — 9+ years · Class Level - Intermediate/Advanced. Challenged to pick up difficult choreography to an expressive style of dance that combines several elements from modern, jazz, lyrical, and ballet.
• Beg./inT. Turns & Leaps — 5+ years · Class Level - Beginning/Intermediate. Dedicated to learning, improving and perfecting technique in jumps, leaps, turns, kicks, strength, conditioning and flexibility.
• Intermediate & Advanced Open Hip Hop — Intermediate Open - 7+ Years; Advanced Open - 9+ Years · Don't want to perform? These classes give your dancers a chance to learn new and different Hip Hop fundamentals every week, testing choreography retention and movement exploration.

About the provider

Legacy Dance Studio was born in January 2022 from a love, respect, and passion for CF Dance Academy. The leadership team includes Skylar Vandenburg, Claudia Ion, Erika rasmussen, Vanessa Benetiz, and Teresa Dietrich. The Legacy Elite Competition Program trains selected dancers for competition teams participating in events such as Showstoppers, Countdown, KAR, and select community-hip-hop events.
