Rosary Academy was founded in September 1965 under the auspices of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles and administered by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Orange, and in 1976 it came under the jurisdiction of the Roman Catholic Bishop of Orange with the establishment of the Diocese of Orange. Rosary is accredited by the Western Catholic Educational Association (WCEA) and co-accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), and it has received a $5,000 grant. Its stated mission highlights faith, community, and service, including inspiring growth in spirit and knowledge, building strong relationships through collaboration and care, and empowering students to serve others through acts of kindness. Rosary Academy launched the Empower Rosary Capital Campaign in April 2026, a $15 million campaign focused on new facilities, enhanced programming, a growing endowment, and the annual giving program.
