Spanish Town USA offers Spanish learning through group lessons, private tutoring sessions, tutoring pods, and a weekend clubhouse. Kids can take part in Spanish and educational computer games, story time, games, and chess lessons, and translation services are also available by appointment. The program uses poetry, regional music, and games as conduits to teaching, and advanced learners are exposed to literary art, including poems by Latin American writers such as Baldomero Fernandez Moreno, Ruben Dario, and Gabriela Mistral.

• Ages: 5–18 years old
• Schedule: Group lessons meet 1 hour per week with various options Monday through Sunday, the Clubhouse for Beginners meets for 2 hours each Saturday morning, and chess sessions run 1 hour on the 2nd Sunday of every month; private tutoring and translation services are by appointment.
• Price: $80–$130 per month for group options, $130 per month with a maximum of 6–10 participants per session (and a maximum of 6 students per session per month), drop-ins at $50 per 2-hour clubhouse session depending on capacity, translation services at $168 per month, and private tutoring at $65 per hour.

Summer camp at Spanish Town USA starts June 8th. Group lessons for dual immersion students ages 7–11 are offered as a monthly package for 1 hour per week on Mondays at 5 PM, with other group lessons for kids available as monthly packages for 1 hour per week at various times. Current options include Intermediate Spanish for kids 10+ on Mondays at 6:30 PM; Spanish for beginners for kids 5–8 on Tuesdays from 5–6 PM; Spanish and educational computer games for kids 7+ on Tuesdays from 5:15–6 PM; Spanish for kids 8+ (beginning and intermediate) on Tuesdays at 6 PM; Spanish 1b for kids 6+ (beginning and intermediate) on Thursdays from 5:15–6:15 PM; intermediate level sessions on Sundays at 9 AM and Saturdays at 12:30 PM; beginning and intermediate Spanish for kids 5+ on Fridays at 10 and 11 AM; beginning Spanish for ages 11–17 on Saturdays at 11:45 AM; beginning Spanish for ages 10+ on Sundays at 10:05 AM; and beginning and intermediate Spanish for kids 5–10 on Sundays at 11:15 AM. The Clubhouse for Beginners for kids 5+ is offered as a monthly package for 2 hours each Saturday from 9:15–11:15 AM, with drop-ins available depending on capacity. Chess lessons are offered on the 2nd Sunday of every month from 1–2 PM.

Spanish Town USA’s founder, Querube, is a native Spanish speaker with a Bachelor of Arts from Middlebury College with a concentration in International Relations, Pre-Medicine Studies, and a minor in Biochemistry. The founder also holds a Master of Arts in Global Logistics from California State University, Long Beach, where she received the Capstone of the Year award for her graduating class, and has experience as a tutor for the No Child Left Behind Program and in developing training curricula. The program states that it is motivated to provide a rich, fun, and unique experience for kids and adults who are interested in learning Spanish, maintains an adequate pupil-to-tutor ratio, and offers customized one-on-one instruction or pods, with a weekend curriculum and Kids Club that are fully bilingual in instruction. Virtual sessions are available.

Spanish Town USA works with charter schools in its area and is an approved service provider for Sage Oak, Cabrillo Point Academy, iLEAD Exploration, Excel Academy, Compass, and Taylion Homeschool. Each semester, Spanish Town USA LLC gives one student a scholarship to participate in the weekend clubhouse.
