About the provider
VFW Basketball has served OC youth since 1957. The program’s mission is to foster the growth and development of youth and build community through service and volunteerism. Members earn volunteer hours, serve veterans at monthly Post meetings, participate in Post clean-up days, and support fundraisers and community drives.
VFW is run entirely by volunteers. New 1st and 2nd grade players placed on a team register as members of the VFW Youth Group, and families are expected to fulfill volunteer duties. Each team needs a parent volunteer coach and a parent volunteer Team Representative for 1st grade teams. Registration fees are stated as 2025–26 and subject to change. New teams form over the summer, with priority for Keiki Kodomo campers and siblings of current or former VFW players.
