About
Jeanette Arnaout Training Equestrian Horse Camps offers a Horse Day Camp where campers develop equestrian skills through basic horsemanship, leading, grooming, horse care, and riding in the arena. Camp days include horsemanship activities, crafts, games, and a chance to decorate or paint a horse for a final day show. Each session uses well-behaved lesson horses, and each camper is assigned his or her own horse to care for during the session.
• Ages: 5–18 years old
• Schedule: Seasonal horse camps with 3–4 day sessions running from 10 am to 3 pm
Jeanette Arnaout is a Safety Certified Instructor with over thirty years of experience in training horses and riders in English and Jumping. Each camp week is limited to 5 riders, with 2 rides per day for each camper. The program is described as beginner to advanced for ages 5 and up, and parents and friends are welcome to attend the final day show. ATSM/SEI-approved riding helmets are provided for campers who do not have one.
The stated mission is to provide a safe, caring, hands-on learning experience with well-behaved lesson horses. Jeanette offers a children's program that emphasizes safety and proper horsemanship, focuses on developing a partnership between horse and rider, and supports students in reaching their riding and competitive goals in a low-stress and caring environment. Campers are asked to come with riding boots or tennis shoes, breeches or long pants, no loose clothing or overalls, a sack lunch with extra snacks, sunscreen, plenty of water, and any required forms, and a Frogg Toggs Chilly Pad Cooling Towel is suggested for warmer seasons.
