About
Jeanette Arnaout Training Equestrian Horse Camps is a horse day camp where campers develop equestrian skills through basic horsemanship, leading, grooming, horse care, and riding in the arena. Camp days include horsemanship activities, crafts, games, and a chance to decorate or paint a horse for a final day show that parents and friends are welcome to attend. Each session assigns every camper his or her own horse to care for and spend time with.
• Ages: 5–18 years old
• Schedule: Seasonal horse day camps with multi-day sessions running from 10 AM to 3 PM
Jeanette Arnaout Training offers Spring Break Horse Camp with two weeks available, each week running Monday to Thursday from 10 AM to 3 PM. The Summer Horse Camp offers a choice of nine weeks, each four days long, Monday to Thursday from 10 AM to 3 PM. The Winter Holiday Horse Camp runs for three weeks, with each week consisting of three days, Monday to Wednesday from 10 AM to 3 PM, and there is also a Ski Week camp from Monday, Feb. 16th to Thursday, Feb. 19th, from 10 AM to 3 PM. Each camp week is limited to 5 riders, and the program includes 2 rides per day.
For riding lessons, campers must wear riding boots (not hiking boots or square-toed western boots), or tennis shoes, along with breeches or long pants, and no loose clothing or overalls. Campers are asked to bring a sack lunch with extra snacks, sunscreen, and plenty of water, and a Frogg Toggs Chilly Pad Cooling Towel is suggested for spring or summer. ASTM/SEI-approved riding helmets are provided for campers who do not have one, and required forms are available on the program’s site.
The program is led by Jeanette Arnaout, a Safety Certified Instructor with over thirty years of experience in training horses and riders in English and Jumping. The stated mission is to provide a safe, caring, hands-on learning experience with well-behaved lesson horses.
