Painted Star Equestrian

Painted Star Equestrian offers Summer Camp, lessons, a Rodeo Riding Academy Comprehensive Program, a Competition Team, and Rodeo Riding Memberships for riders of all levels. Summer Camp runs 9:00 am-1:00 pm each day and focuses on horses, grooming, riding lessons, horsemanship, horse care, safety, and equine knowledge. Lessons are offered Monday-Friday and include western disciplines such as barrel racing, gymkhana, and trail riding.

• Rodeo Riding Memberships — riders of all levels · Membership plans listed as Howdy, Cowboy, and Rodeo with different lesson, curriculum, event, and boot camp access.

About the provider

The program’s founder and head instructor is Shannen B., with lead instructors Kalysta and Brittany. Shannen B. has over 25 years of riding experience and more than 15 years as an instructor, and Brittany has over 30 years of experience in the saddle. The mission is to build confident, skilled, and well-rounded equestrians in a safe, supportive, and encouraging environment, with emphasis on rider development and the thoughtful care and respect of equine partners. Students also support and cheer each other on at riding events, and the program offers social events, trail rides, beach rides, in-house buckle "Fun-Khana" horse shows, quarterly goal setting meetings, and cattle sorting.

Age and experience are not needed for lessons; lessons are tailored to goals and levels. Barn hours are by appointment only. Camp deposit is due at sign up and is nonrefundable. Remainder is due by June 1st, 2026. Camps welcome riders of all levels.
